Hello!
As you may have noticed, I have rebranded my newsletter from a generic “Rahul’s Sketchbook” Yay! I thought I’d make a little banner for the newsletter too.
The idea behind this newsletter is to share with you my work in the past as well as what I am constantly inspired by. This can be other artists, some videos or podcasts, or generally something in this world that gets my creative juices flowing. I hope some of the things below inspire you to go and create some art.
What am I working on?
As the month of November is wrapped up I wanted to check in with you and share an update on how things are going with me.
A big client project that had kept me busy for the last three months has finally been delivered. This one had me designing 32 covers for school books aimed at Nursery-UKG. I had never drawn so many kids in such a short time span before so it was a massive undertaking.
Here are some of the covers that turned out great from this project. If you are reading from your inbox, to view the full images you probably will need to read the actual post on the website by clicking on the title above.

Oh and one more thing, for those of you not on substack, this newsletter is being sent through their service now, which means each email has a comments section. I love this feature and it’s one of the deciding factors in switching to this platform. Let me know if you found something interesting in this one by commenting below.
Things I found interesting
From Addiction to Art:
Struthless, also known as Campbell Walker, is a YouTuber, artist, and storyteller with a knack for turning personal experiences into captivating content. His videos often explore themes of creativity, mental health, self-improvement, and the quirks of modern life. With a mix of humor, brutal honesty, and striking visuals, Struthless has built a loyal audience who value his raw, relatable approach to storytelling.
In some of his videos, he has openly shared his struggles with drug addiction as a pivotal chapter in his life story. In his 20s, he found himself trapped in a cycle of substance abuse that left him feeling lost and disconnected. Hitting rock bottom became a turning point, prompting him to seek help and rebuild his life from the ground up.
Here’s 3 Videos that I am sure you will find worth your time.
The drawing advice that changed my life
In this one he reflects on a simple yet profound piece of advice that reshaped his approach to art and creativity: "Make bad art." Struthless explains how this concept freed him from the paralyzing grip of perfectionism and reignited his passion for drawing.
Transform your life in 100 days
In this one, he breaks down a practical, step-by-step approach to making significant life changes without feeling overwhelmed. He introduces a framework for setting meaningful goals, focusing on incremental progress over perfection. The core idea revolves around picking one or two key areas of life to improve and dedicating 100 days to consistent effort in those areas. I just love the personal anecdotes which he shares in each of his videos.
The problem with the internet that no one is talking about
Get ready for a history lesson in art. Through vivid examples and storytelling, he challenges viewers to reflect on their own internet habits and consider the value of slowing down, consuming intentionally, and fostering meaningful discourse. The video serves as both a wake-up call and a guide to navigating the internet mindfully, resonating with anyone who feels overwhelmed by today’s digital noise.
